Welcome to the New Thompson STEM Engagement Website

We’ve redesigned the Thompson STEM Engagement website to make it easier to explore our bilingual science shows, STEM workshops, educational resources and wider work across Wales.

We’re delighted to welcome you to the newly redesigned Thompson STEM Engagement website.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working behind the scenes to create a website that better reflects what TSE does today and makes it easier for schools, organisations, partners and the public to explore our work.

One of the biggest improvements is a clearer way to discover our activities for schools. Our growing programme library now brings together our science shows and hands-on STEM workshops, with information about the age groups they are designed for, the subjects they explore and the different ways they can be delivered.

From dinosaurs, evolution and the history of life to rockets, space, combustion, light, materials and the human body, our programmes use live demonstrations, practical activities and memorable examples to help learners engage with STEM subjects.

As always, our shows and workshops are available in both English and Welsh.

We have also expanded the Resources section of the website. Visitors can now explore educational video content organised into Biology, Chemistry and Physics playlists, alongside videos showing TSE activities with live audiences. Our Welsh-language Resources section provides direct access to our dedicated Cymraeg STEM video collection. These sections update automatically as new videos are added to our curated YouTube playlists.

The redesigned site also makes it easier to explore our wider work, including:

  • STEM activities for schools
  • space education
  • robotics and engineering
  • STEM careers talks and professional development
  • festivals and public events
  • educational projects and resources
  • opportunities to support or work with TSE

The new website has been designed from the outset to give English and Welsh equal prominence, with dedicated content and navigation in both languages.

It is also much easier for us to keep the site up to date. As TSE develops new shows, workshops, projects, resources and achievements, we can now add them directly to the website so that it continues to grow alongside our work.

We hope you enjoy exploring the new site.
